Yesterday, we spent the afternoon roaming around downtown enjoying the lively holiday crowds and decorations. The weather in Sevilla has been really nice this week with barely a cloud in the sky. We stopped by Corte Ingles for some groceries and they had one of the three kings or 'reyes magos' set up outside the store for the kids. The girls happily sat and smiled for a picture after being bribed with promises to ride the kiddy rides. It was nice afternoon. On the way home, we ate 'al fresco' at a new Italian place Ali spotted last week near Plaza Nueva.
The bribe
Tonight is "Noche Buena" and for most people in Spain this is a night to be with family. We have a nice Noche Buena dinner planned and will be staying in tonight. We are substituting pork tenderloin for the traditional turkey to make the dinner a little more Spanish.

Matt and I will be spending noche buena at my parent's house. Matt's on his way there now to help my dad with the pig. He's getting his puerco asado lesson today. Who needs turkey when there's pork? Enjoy your evening and Christmas morning. Give the girls kisses from me. -Vic
ReplyDeleteHola Hija, como estas? como estan todos, quiero saber si se han mejorado y como pasaron las navidades. Te cuento que nosotras estamos bien, muy tranquilas, Gloria trabajo el dia navidad y yo por mi parte fui invitada "por primera vez" a la casa de Carlos. La comida estuvo muy buena y una buena parte fue comprada y la otra, ellos la cocinaron. Comparti con Alex y Candy, ademas todos los hijos de ellos, te puedes imaginar el mucnachon. Abrimos los regalos y la verdad fue que pase una tarde muy especial, pero de todas formas me hicieron mucha falta. Hoy 25th estamos en casa solitas, aun que Carlos compartio con nosotras un rato, y en este momento estamos con nuestra amiga Sandra que nos esta ayudando con la computadora y ya tenemos las fotos de las niñas. Cuentame como la pasaron, que comieron y como fueron los regalitos de navidad. Me imagino que las niñas estuvieron muy felicess. TQM, y los extrañamos a todos. BESOS TU MAMI Y ABUELITA_ GLORIA Y TIA
