Saturday in the Park

This week has been cold and overcast in Sevilla.  It's been a damp cold that cuts to the bone and makes you want a bowl of warm chicken soup.  Today, we awoke to sunshine and clear skies and decided to spend the day roaming around town.  We headed to Plaza Encarnacion where there is usually something going on under the giant parasol.  Turned out to be a busy holiday festival that featured carnival rides, fair style food, a shetland pony stable, pony rides, and camel rides.  As most of you know, I love me a shetland pony, so it was a good day.  Across the street they still had the giant bounce house set up and the kids hit that as well.  After bouncing, we headed to a playground, then meandered through the centro back home.

Tomorrow is Ali's birthday so tonight we have a date night.  We are hitting our favorite tapas bar, La Azotea, which has a modern and creative angle on tapas.  It's not KitchenBar, but it's pretty darn good. Afterwards, we may see a movie or just wander around town.  Looking forward to getting out on the town with my favorite birthday girl.
